The DT27 combines the DP27 display with RGB Pick-to-Light LEDs and a touch-sensitive surface. When the operator makes a pick, they confirm it by touching the display — the system registers the event and extinguishes the light. Works with all industrial safety gloves. Freely chainable on the industrial bus — no dedicated cabling per unit.
For narrow shelf positions and small bin openings. The SBD1 sensor automatically registers every pick without operator input — includes full DT27 display and RGB light.
The most versatile SBD unit — covers the majority of standard industrial bin and flow rack configurations. State-of-the-art sensor with ESD-safe and non-standard packaging compatibility.
A full-length sensor bar for large bin openings and high-density storage. The SBD3 covers wide shelf positions where a single point sensor would miss oblique pick angles. Built for the toughest production line environments.
KEPS integrates seamlessly into your existing rack infrastructure — no rebuilding, no compromise.
The DP series is a pure passive e-ink label — no power supply, no battery, no maintenance. Show part numbers, serial information, barcodes, and QR/DMC codes, updatable wirelessly from any PDA device from your ERP in seconds.
The DT27 combines a freely configurable e-ink display with RGB Pick-to-Light and a touch-sensitive surface. The operator confirms each pick directly at the shelf — the display registers the action even through industrial safety gloves. Freely positionable on the rack bus, freely combinable with DP and SBD units on the same network.
The SBD series is the most advanced KEPS product. A proprietary smart sensor detects the physical hand breach automatically — the system knows a pick happened without any input from the operator. The sensor is area-based, self-learning, and adapts to changing stock levels. Developed to handle the challenges of modern production: ESD-safe parts, unusual packaging geometries, and high-speed pick operations where pausing to press a button is not acceptable.
Six steps from order to confirmed pick — fully automated, fully traceable.
A pick task or order enters your WMS, ERP, or SAP. KEPS receives it instantly via API — no human intermediary required.
Every relevant shelf label refreshes in real time — showing the correct product image, part number, location code, and quantity.
The RGB LED on the correct shelf illuminates. The operator walks to it — no list to read, no bin to search for, no possibility of confusion.
The item is picked. The e-paper display confirms the product visually at a glance — no barcode scanning required unless your process demands it.
The operator touches the DT display surface — or the SBD sensor auto-detects the breach. Works with safety gloves. Light extinguishes. Zero ambiguity, full traceability.
KEPS reports the confirmed pick back to your WMS/ERP. Inventory updates. The audit trail is complete. The process repeats, at scale.
One bin is glowing green. Click it — that's the entire training a KEPS operator needs.
Now imagine this across 400 shelf positions, 3 shifts a day — without a single paper list.
Whether you care about the bottom line or the technical depth — KEPS delivers on both.
Not adapted from retail. Not bolted together from off-the-shelf parts. Every KEPS component was engineered from scratch for industrial production environments.
Product images, part numbers, location codes, quantities, barcodes, and QR/DMC codes — all on a sunlight-readable e-ink screen. Zero standby power draw. No battery, no charging, no maintenance. One million image updates per unit lifetime.
Define your own colour conventions — green for correct pick, red for error, amber for restock. Integrates naturally with 5S visual management and andon systems. The DT and SBD series also support touch confirmation and auto-detection to close the pick loop completely.
Engineered through multiple development iterations for use directly on production lines — not adapted from a retail product. Shock-proof, dustproof, immune to the vibration and contamination of real factory floors. Where other systems break, KEPS keeps running.
The SBD series uses a proprietary area-based sensor that self-calibrates as product levels change — no manual threshold setting, no tuning. Unaffected by part movement or ESD/non-standard packaging. State-of-the-art detection where older sensor technologies fail.
KEPS speaks the protocols your infrastructure already uses. Connect to SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or any custom WMS/MES. Remote configuration, real-time label updates, and automatic replenishment requests — all via open, documented interfaces.
Mount on both sides of your flow rack — logistics fills the input side (Put-to-Light), production withdraws from the output side (Pick-to-Light). A single system creates a fully traceable, closed loop between the warehouse and the production floor.
Three ways to label a shelf. Only one was engineered for the production floor.
From assembly lines to warehouse logistics — KEPS eliminates errors and connects every step of the material flow.
Operators at production lines pick components guided by RGB light — confirmed automatically by touch or sensor. Zero mispicks, zero line stoppages from wrong parts.
Error-free order picking in logistics warehouses with full WMS/ERP integration. Light guides the operator to the right bin, the display confirms the product, the system logs every event.
KEPS DP series replaces paper kanban cards across the entire shop floor. Labels update wirelessly in seconds — no printing, no manual handling, no outdated information at the shelf.
Logistics staff refill flow racks guided by light from the input side. The same hardware that guides picking also manages replenishment — one system, full loop traceability.
JIT parts delivery from a lineside supermarket buffer to production cells. KEPS connects warehouse replenishment and production withdrawal in a single, fully traceable loop.
KEPS sensors track stock consumption in real time across every shelf position. Automatic replenishment requests fire to your ERP when thresholds are reached — no manual counting, no stockouts on the production line.
KEPS speaks the language of modern industrial software. Plug it into your existing operation — no rip-and-replace required.

KEPS has three series: DP (Display Passive) — completely passive e-ink labels with no power supply or battery, available in 2.7" (DP27) and 7.5" (DP75). DT (Display Touch) — the DT27 adds RGB Pick-to-Light LEDs and a touch-sensitive surface for operator pick confirmation. SBD (Sensor Breach Detection) — SBD1, SBD2, and SBD3 add a proprietary smart sensor that automatically detects picks without any operator input. All series share the same integration layer and are managed by the same software.
Correct. E-ink technology only consumes power during a display refresh — the image is held without any current once written. The DP series has no battery and no wired power supply. Labels are updated wirelessly with a standard PDA after energizing the display wirelessly. This means zero maintenance cycles, no battery replacement logistics, and no downtime from dead cells. The rated lifetime is 1,000,000 image refreshes per unit.
This was one of the core problems the SBD series was built to solve. Legacy proximity sensors and older breach detection technologies fail to reliably detect picks when ESD-safe packaging, foil trays, or non-standard containers are in use — because the dielectric properties of these materials defeat capacitive and many optical approaches. The KEPS SBD sensor is area-based and uses a proprietary detection method that is not affected by the packaging material. It is also self-learning: it auto-calibrates as stock levels deplete, eliminating the need for manual threshold adjustment.
KEPS exposes both a Modbus/TCP interface and a REST API. Integration with SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or any custom WMS/MES is achieved through these open protocols. The system also supports automatic replenishment: it monitors stock consumption via additional sensors and sends reorder requests to the host ERP when thresholds are reached — preventing part shortages on the production line without manual intervention.
Yes. KEPS units can be installed on both the input side (logistics loading) and the output side (production picking) of a flow rack simultaneously. This creates a closed-loop system where logistics sees a Put-to-Light prompt when replenishing a bin, and the production operator sees a Pick-to-Light prompt when withdrawing. The entire material flow — from receiving to consumption — is logged and traceable in a single system.
Kesch Zrt. supplies industrial manufacturers — witnessing daily the failure of retail-oriented e-paper and pick-by-light systems in real production environments. Labels fell off, broke under vibration, required frequent battery changes, and couldn't cope with factory conditions. Old breach sensors needed constant manual recalibration. Engineers with degrees were spending time daily changing paper labels. KEPS was developed specifically to solve these problems — through multiple iterations, built to withstand the harshest production line conditions, with no compromises made for retail cost targets.
KEPS integrates sensors that monitor in real time how many containers (e.g. KLT crates) remain in each FIFO flow rack lane. When the count drops below a configurable threshold — for example, only 2 crates left — KEPS automatically triggers a replenishment order to your ERP or production control system. This closes the just-in-time loop: logistics is notified before stock runs out, so the production line never stops due to parts shortage. The threshold is configurable per shelf position and updates in real time as picks occur.
Kesch Zrt. supplies industrial manufacturers — printers, raw materials, and custom production control systems. On every site visit, we saw the same daily struggle: pick-by-light and e-paper systems that were retail products on an industrial floor. They broke. They fell off shelves under vibration. Batteries ran out at critical moments. Sensors needed constant manual recalibration — especially when ESD-safe packaging or non-standard containers were in use. Where no display technology existed at all, qualified engineers were changing paper labels by hand every single day.
We built KEPS to solve exactly these problems — not to enter the retail market. Every design decision prioritizes industrial survival: shock-proof enclosures, zero-maintenance e-ink, a self-learning sensor that needs no calibration. The system went through multiple development iterations, tested in real factory conditions, before it reached the form it holds today. The result is a product that connects logistics and production in a single, closed-loop system — and eliminates the failure modes that made previous solutions not worth the effort.
